Welcome from David Auwen

I am David Auwen and I'm running for State Representative in the 32nd District – covering portions of Northeastern Macomb County and Southwestern St. Clair County. The current Representative, Daniel Acciavatti, is not seeking re-election due to term limits.

Michigan is on a downward trend and is actually leading the nation or in the top five in several categories; highest foreclosure rates, unemployment, and highest tax burden on small businesses. Lansing needs change and the 32nd District needs a Leader who is willing to go to Lansing and make a difference.

I have spent the last 11 years in the United States Marine Corps and as a Gunnery Sergeant I have the discipline, dedication and leadership skills to stand up for what is right for the people of Michigan and the 32nd District. It is time to break the usual political cycle and elect quality individuals based on integrity, loyalty to community and work ethic. The current situation in Michigan has me sad and angry as I know many of my friends, family, and community members are as well. After fighting twice in Iraq for my country I have decided to bring my family home and fight for OUR community in Lansing.

My campaign will be about the issues that are important to the citizens of Macomb and St. Clair Counties. I will fight for policies that will create a competitive business environment which will help bring jobs back to Michigan. I will fight against higher taxes and out of control government spending and I will work towards securing our borders in order to ensure the people and businesses in our communities are safe and protected.
